Hot and spicy pizza recipe, the Italian way!
Posted on October 10th, 2011 No commentsWe all now the hot & spicy pizza’s you can order at the big fast food pizza chains all over the USA and in lots of places in the rest of the world. As you can imagine I prefer a more Italian style pizza, but my senses can hunger for hot & spice too. That’s why I share this pizza recipe from Italy with you. Based on our original pizza dough recipe, so you get the enormously tasty and crusty pizza bottom you’re used to if you are a frequent visitor of this blog.
- 150 gram (5.3 oz.) San Marzano tomatoes
- 150 gram (5.3 oz.) parmesan or grana cheese
- 75 gram (2.6 oz.) Spinata Romana or, if not available, another spice sausage with peppers
- 2 little red peppers
- 1 piece of mozzarella (about 200 gram including the water)
After rolling out the bottom, squeeze the tomatoes and let de moist leak out. Spread them on your pizza bottom. On top of the tomatoes, tear the spinata romana in smaller pieces and put them in an evenly manner on your pizza. Chop the little red peppers and spread them on your pizza bottom as well. Coarsely grate the parmesan or grana cheese and add it to the pizza.
Put your pizza in the oven and when it’s ready (depending on the maximum heat of your oven, but before it gets dark brown!), tear the mozzarella in large chunks and divide the chunks over the still hot pizza. Buon appetito!
